oh dear

my computer has developed quite the bad attitude when it comes to me being able to edit pictures. last week, the silly thing wouldn't even turn on and last night it kept crashing while i was editing....so, i'm posting from work sans pictures that i took. i'm planning on trying to fix whatever its malfunction is.

as much as i hated my news photography class, i've always had a fascination with the process of capturing beautiful news images. i always wondered if the subjects of these pictures knew that they would one day famous.

okay, so this is the daily fun with photoshop....i was really bored last night.

in other news, my laptop is on its last leg. it never wants to start up anymore so now i suppose it's time to invest in a newer one that will be obsolete in a matter of months.

i'm working on a couple new things as well as preparing for my last semester of school. i'm excited to be out of school. it feels like i've in college forever (6.5 years!), but the change of pace will be nice. it will also be nice not to have to worry about homework and assignments. i'll have more time to work on stuff that i want to work on.

Bubbles

This weekend was busy for me. Friday night my friend and i drove around and ate at a local taco truck. It was one of the best tacos i've ever had. On Saturday my sister and brother-in-law brought my nephew to visit. We played in the park and went for lunch at the cafe by my house. On Sunday we had a birthday party for my mom.
So now it's time to relax. I'm taking new pictures tomorrow after work so I'll have lots of new stuff this week.

technical difficulties

i have been meaning to add some of the new pictures that i shot, but sadly i have experienced some technical difficulties. the other night when i went to load pictures onto my laptop i received a message saying that my hard drive was full and no new items could be added. after moving stuff to my external hard drive i realized i was still a little short on space, so now i must undergo the daunting task of deleting stuff.
in the meantime, here's a couple of old shots that i really liked.

it finally stopped raining here, but the weather is still chilly. i meant to have stuff for today, but i ended up taking an evening off from shooting to plan some new stuff. i also had quite a bit of homework to catch up on :/ tonight i have dinner with my sister at a lovely little place near my apartment.

i'm so excited because this weekend is the medieval fair. i used to go every year when i was in high school, but it's been awhile since i've gone. my friend and i are planning on going down saturday if the weather is nice enough. i'm sure i'll be taking lots of pictures of our nerdtastic adventure to share with you.

*this weekend i spent my time at my parents' house since it was easter. we had brunch and the baby hunted easter eggs. luckily the weather was warm enough that we could spend some time outdoors.
