*finally getting to upload some new stuff! i've been working on lots of new stuff and can't wait to get everything edited and posted. Also, i bought myself an underwater camera to use in my parents' pool. I'm planning on shooting some "engagement" style photos of my sister (since she got married last year and i didn't get any pictures then).

*i've been working all week (work saturday this week, get a 4 day weekend next week) and i am exhausted. it's finally going to be cooler this week than it has been and i am more than looking forward to it. i have a family party to go to for the 4th of july. i'm hoping to take some pictures to share.

Sooooooo

So here's the deal, it's finally summer here which means soaring temperatures. While I don't mind the heat (writing this while sitting in a room with no a/c drinking a hot cup of coffee), it for some reason is bugging out my Internet connection. Which pretty much means that I'll be phone posting until I can come up with a cooling system for the modem and router. 

In other news, I have also had a house guest for the last 4 nights and haven't had time to finish any new pictures. 

I'm working on getting back into a system for making posts, but it's been difficult (due mainly in part to summertime laziness). Soooooo, happy Tuesday everybody! I should hopefully have new stuff tomorrow, but in the mean time here's something I liked:

*happy summer solstice everyone! i'm looking forward to the weekend and the relaxation. i still have lots of new pictures i want to share (and will hopefully do so this weekend), but for now i figured i'd share some "mermaid" pictures. i really like this quote and wanted to do something based around it. also, when i was little my sister and i would pretend we were mermaids in the pool in our yard. since then, mermaids have always reminded me of summer.

*i haven't done a "listen to what i'm listening to" in a little bit since i haven't really listened to anything new that was good enough to share. i hope to find some better stuff this weekend.....maybe.

* i really enjoyed doing the makeup for these photos. it was a little beyond the realm of what i usually do so it was fun to try something new. i'm planning on doing more pictures based on this quote in the near future. i hope everyone is having a good week so far. my has been a little chaotic, but still nice. i got a few new dresses that i can't wait to show you later this week and i have a few new ideas for pictures.

*ugh, monday. i woke up late and was late to work, but it seems to be smoothing out now. i meant to have more stuff posted last week, but with weather knocking out my electricity it kind of complicated things. i have lots of new stuff to share this week.

Father's Day

I'm hanging out with my dad today since it's Father's Day. My dad is pretty awesome by parent standards. He taught me how to drive, how to shoot and that it's better to ask forgiveness than permission.

*it's been so busy around here lately. i've been so exhausted after work that i haven't had time to do anything other than sleep when i get home. things are starting to slow up a bit so i think i'll be able to get back to shooting on a more regular schedule again (fingers crossed).

*i have some new upcoming outfit posts and few new ideas i want to try out so i'm excited to start working.

*i wanted to have stuff posted this weekend, but we had another round of storms and the places where i usually go for internet access were closed. everyone survived, but there was lots of flooding. i should be back to regular posts (until wednesday when more storms are supposed to come through).
